Installed some goodies today

I had to go to Jury Duty today, Didn't get picked and got out at 10:00am. So I rushed home and started working on the 4runner . I install a Downey Truss, Downey 26mm bars, upper& lower Ball Joints, and the 1" ball J spacer I made. I removed the anti sway bar. Got it all done by 6:00pm. Know it pull a little to the right so a front end alignment is next. It rides a lot better than before and the sway bar begin gone its hardly noticeable. I'll put the skids back on after the alignment.

The new ball joints & 1" spacer I made

Cuts in the upper A arm To fit spacer

The spacer & ball J installed

The new Downey bars

The end result

It looks a little high in the front now, I'm either going to raise the rear or lower the front alittle

I would take the tbars down a notch, give you a wee more flex and softer ride.IMO

The ride is fine I can fill a little lean. Over all it good, but I haven't been on the freeway yet!

The nuts are on the bottom side of the lower A-arm. Mine came off with ease. Spray it with penetrating oil and try again the next day, and the hole in which the nut was in was full of mud, so make sure its claened out first. As far as breaking it, go ahead its just a bolt.lol Good Luck. Wil

Well I lowered the front which softened the ride a little. I put the skids back on and tested the flex a little. Looks to me that the BJ spacers and no sway bar let the low wheel drop more than before and the raised wheel to flex up more too. heres some pics.

Wow! Removing the sway bars will give that much flex? I might try that...I have the same Downey torsion bars on my truck, but with the sway bar intact. Does removing it make the truck handle any worse?
