I've owned two 2-wheel drives. but neither fit this time frame. One was a 95.5 Tacoma 2-wheel drive with a 3rz in it. (I'll try and hunt down a picture, got rid of it 5 years ago.)
and my other was a 2004 Tacoma 2-wheel drive with a 2rz (NO POWER!!! who knew .3 Liters made such a difference)

Thanks guys! you know I really cant give you a good answer cause when I got the truck that was the first thing I did before even really getting to record mpg's and all. I currently get about 27mpg. The air has a shorter route that is also cooler cause it's not over the hot radiator so in my opinion it just makes so mush sense. I also used a larger gauge wire and larger terminals. Using the stock elbow and air box helps make it look clean and stock.
