I have a lowering thread !! somewhere

I have been working on this for a while .. once I get the Trekker done .. this will be priorty ..

heres what I got started with

Now torn down again , because the 22re was just not enough power .

I bought a 88 turbo supra as a doner car .

Truck is stripped and in the "mock -up" stages .

built a new FRAME to HOUSE the SUPRA suspension

reinstalled the cradles .. front and rear , and the struts ..

some pics of the TIG welds ..

so anyway ..

I also dropped the cab on .. I still have to build all the mounts , but it'll give you an idea .

one day soon ... I be back on er' ...

.

Here are two picks of what i have so far. Look at my sig for details. I also just picked up some large tow hooks and 63" chevies. Will hopefully get them before the end of summer rolls around. Driving my truck around with the leaf spring riding on the overloads kills my back right now.

The 5k prerunner from Off-Road Magazine is owned by Nick Green, and doesn't have a 3.4L under the hood ! This one is nicer !

This the direction I'm heading too

Here's my 88 toy 2wd.. Pretty much bone stock. Just dumped about $900 in repairs into the truck, so I've made the decision to turn it into a budget beater. The plan is to do this as cheap as possible. Crank the torsion bars, put in some 1.5" BJ spacers, and some shackles out back. Re-use my 15" factory jeep wheels (cuz 14" rims suck)... And buy some re-tread tires for it... I have a bashed in pass. side front fender, so the plan is to replace both fenders with junkyard 4x4 fenders to give me a little more front clearance...

Here's mine

1993 2wd extra cab truck, 3.0 v6 manual with a camper...58k original miles. Bone stock except for some upgraded rear shocks added by the previous owner. Looking to add a 3 1/2" suspension lift and some bigger tires soon...

Ok.. well wrong year, but mine is an 85... the PO was an idiot and custom ordered it from the dealer with 31's, a 4" lift, added A/C, the push bar, roll bar, and bumper... as well as the now "retro" graphics.....

Now i just have to add power steering and redo the head gasket

No offense and I know I'm going to sound like a jerk, but that's gotta be one of the ugliest trucks I've ever seen lol. I'm not saying mine is a prize winner, but damn....

On a side note, I didn't know they made BJ spacers for those trucks?

Haha, I see that. I'm sure some people look at my truck and say the same thing though. Better than another car payment though.
