On a side note, I didn't know they made BJ spacers for those trucks?
It's got "character" !

PS- I was just guessing about the BJ's, doesn't look like they do. Pretty simple to make though.

I think they use a completely different style of balljoint though. If I remember right it has no actual "base" to put any kind of spacer. It's just pressed in, not bolted IIRC. I remember on my old 2wd Toyotas the bj's would pop out and/or break alot.

The previous owner must have run it low on oil or something. It had a bad rod bearing on the #4 cylinder. A real hassle because if not for that bearing everything else was in great shape, including the body, which is rare in the midwest. Every other truck I see of this vintage has alot of rust holes. I only used the truck for hauling stuff, going fishing, and letting other family members borrow it. I think I may have put 2500 miles on it on 5 years. It was going fine until the bearing finally spun. I had to have the crank ground.

Anyway, I got it running this weekend, took it out to break it in, and just turned 54k as I was pulling up the driveway. Thank God for the internet, Yotatech, and whoever that guy is who converted the factory service manual to PDF format!

I had already loaded the portable engine crane into my wife's Honda Fit so i could take it to the rental place ... then a realized ... hey! my truck is running again! What am I doing?

BTW I'm 6'5", 230lbs and I'm commonly mistaken for Jesus or Rasputin by the look of me

Well I didn't know this thread existed. Here's mine I just picked up about a month ago to replace my daily driver camry, which got totaled.

'94 base regular cab. Only options it has are carpet and cup holders lol. Bought it from the original owner. 326k on the original motor and clutch, and she claims it's never had a timing chain done, but it's rattling now. Got some rust, especially in the bed, but otherwise, pretty decent. Haven't decided if I'm gonna fix it or just drive it.

Missing the bumper and tailgate from a little rear ender.

Here's the other rust problem. Left front cab corner. Can't feel any air rushing in, but I can hear it and with it all disassembled like it was in the pictures, you can shine a flashlight through it lol.

So there it is!

Does this count?

Nah, it probably doesn't.

I got rid of my '94 22RE/5-speed/reg cab a little over a year ago. Now I have a 2WD that gets 4wd economy.

That's why I had to get an Xtra cab. I'm "only" 6'4" and would cramp up after about 1.5-2 hours of driving in my '94. I've actually been considering a full-size like a Tundra.

Which is why I followed-up the "does this this count?" line with "nah, probably not."
