Idle issue

I’m new to the forum and am having a idle issue with my 95 Toyota truck. It has the 22re and is a 5 speed. The problem I’m having is when I start the truck it runs fine, but once the accelerator is pressed it idles any where from 750-1500 rpm’s. I had replaced the tps a month ago and was fine, this issue just started. Any help would be great.

Start the easy way. Pop the hood, watch the throttle linkage, have someone press the accelerator. It will be easy to see; if the idle is high and you can bring it back just by pushing on the linkage, you've got binding. The total throttle linkage has a number of parts, and if any are binding they will elevate idle.

I see what you are saying. No binding going on. It is weird, when it happens if I turn off the engine and then start it back up, it’s fine, back to 750. But then if I hit the accelerator, it may or may not come back to 750?
