I need more leg room

I have 94 regular cab, a couple years ago i swapped in some sr5 buckets to replace my bench seat. i don't drive it much but planing to take a trip to moab next year and need more comfortable / more leg room and i don't like how high i sit with the sr5 buckets. Any recommendation? has anyone tried seats out of a 350z or rx8?

I'm short and my sr5 seats make me duck my head when I get in. I had put them in my 88 in place of a bucket seat. I live with it, what else can be done?Name: IMG_2428.jpg

2nds on the link, great site, never seen it until now. I don't know how much more room you can get with a different seat, I wanted a reg cab pickup but just couldn't fit into one.

Get the front of your seat higher than the back. This way your seat front will hold your knees up. Either lower the rear base of the seat or raise the front edge. The SR5 buckets in my 4runner have a twist knob that does this. It makes my 6"5" frame fit quite well and comfortable.

i would go to the junk yard and try to find the thinnest seats possible. i had the same issue with my old Datsun pickup - replaced bench with buckets and found myself with less leg room. Most single cab bench seats don't have a back on them, so they are usually considerably thinner profile and can sit physically further back than a regular bucket seat where rear passenger's knees need padding in case of an accident.

When perusing through a junk yard I was looking at all the seat thicknesses on some of the newer cars - found some of the thinnest seats in the compact SUVs (like several inches thinner) -- look for stuff like Rav4, Honda CRV, etc. The newest vehicles in the past few years have even thinner seats in them, perhaps due to updated foam/upholstery technology?

SR5 seats from ex cab pu go 2" back farther then the SR5 runner seats.
But if you don't have room behind the seats you have its moot.

I've got a set of 01-03? somewhere in that area Hyundai Accent seats that make my 87 extra cab nice and roomy for my 6'3" never bolted them in though, and i've got a 60-40 in it right now.

X2
Little squeeze climbing in, but plenty of room once inside.

Direct bolt in or did this require some modification?
