yo save your self time and money call engnbldr talk to him let him know what happened and i bet he will cut you a big deal on some NEW parts sounds like your going to need them now

Well boys and girls.....It's 12:47 am Colorado time and I am pleased to inform all of you that I am 99% done with my 12 pack and the runner. I started with a bare block around noon time and now
IT RUNS!!!!!!!!
I turned the key she cranked for about 3 sec. then fired up. The oil presure is about 3/4 on the gauge at idle. she ran up to 1,500 rpms then down to 1,000 then back up. I am guessing this is caused from the cold start system as there is no water...I only ran her for about 45 sec. it's Making some noise but i'm sure it will go away once oil gets to all the right places.......
anyhow it's sleepy time.....more in the A.M.

Finely got the garage clean so I could wrench on my junk....I finished installing all the little things like belts, fan ECT. I started the runner and it would idle about 1,200 RMP's then started loping. thing was smoking like it was on fire for a few minutes. once the smoke cleared up it wouldn't idle. messed with the timing and that didn't help. decided to take it for a short drive. got up the street and while holding the gas pedal stedy the engine will surge. pulled into the garage and then it would idle about 1,900.....After a few seconds the loping would come back. If I adjust the timing then it will just die.

lol! yeah, I have been over the vacuum lines a dozen times now. I only unhooked 3. I am positive on 2 but not on the one for the EGR. I have been searching and found a few things it could be. I am out of time tho. I need to be in another town by mid day Tuesday. I was going to drive this but now it looks like I'll be taking the 85 runner.
