How to fold down the rear seats...?

Well, I remember from my pop's old runner many years ago that the rear seats could fold down by pulling those release cords in the seat. Now I just caint seem to find those doggone release cords (seat crevices are filled with mud... serious, I once had some grass and a bluebonnet growing from inbetween my rear seats lol ). Anyhoo, if someone could give me a good idea of where those cords are and how to maybe dig em out (custom upholstered seats so tight I can barely fit my hand inbetween em) or perhaps even a picture of where they usually are, I'd be verra greatful.

I don't have a pic but they are normally just about dead center in the back of each seat cushion. They are just a couple strips that are really easy to lose down in there. If you can't find them/get to them one idea would be to unbolt the hinges for the cushions (right underneath the cushions on that flat part going down towards the floorboard) and that might allow you to move them forward enough to get your hand in there to find the releases or you might be able to wiggle them loose from the release. Hopefully that makes sense as I'm having a little hard time explaining it.

Good luck man!

Ah awesome. Yeah mine are the one with the straps I'm sure. I think the door lock style ones are for pre 86 model runners. Mine have the slide-able latch on the sides of the seats for folding the backrest down, and the straps to pull the seats up. Just have to dig those suckers out! lol thanks.
