How far can I take it off road

I have a stock 1995 3.0 auto 4X4, with 31" tires. My question is, how far can I go with off roading in a stock setup. I also belive that I'm runniny 4.88 gears.

Thank for the info.

Well I was told from other peolpe on here that if it came with 31" tires it should have 4.88 gears. Don't no how true it is tho.

Thank you for the info.

It may have 4.88's, but thats not a ratio it came with from the factory. They are probably 4.10's. But all that aside, you have yourself a perty dern capable rig. Enjoy!

The amount of misinformation on this forum is staggering. Yes, some of the 3.0/autos came from the factory with 4.88s. I have one.

Lock it f/r, put on a snorkel, add the same size tire in a MT and you'll be pretty surprised where that piece will go.

As Jay said, if you have an auto, 31 " tires came with 4:88's.

x whatever we're up to - 3.0/auto/31's = 4.88 (manual is 4.56 BTW)

How far? Far. Really far.

also a x2billion the 4.88 thing.

Here is a list of trails that my truck did bone stock: no tires, no lift, no lockers no gears, no armor.

You did Carnage bone stock? How was that - a little nerve wracking?

More than a little. But, it was before most of the obstacles were dug out like they are now. It was a lot easier.
