How far can I take it off road

I have a stock 1995 3.0 auto 4X4, with 31" tires. My question is, how far can I go with off roading in a stock setup. I also belive that I'm runniny 4.88 gears.

Thank for the info.

Ummm - pretty damn far. You would be surprised at the offroad capability of these trucks.

If your running 4.88's than it is not stock. As for, how far.....well you can go until you get stuck!:bigok:

Well I was told from other peolpe on here that if it came with 31" tires it should have 4.88 gears. Don't no how true it is tho.

Thank you for the info.

Where Are The Good Wheeling Spots On Li?

It may have 4.88's, but thats not a ratio it came with from the factory. They are probably 4.10's. But all that aside, you have yourself a perty dern capable rig. Enjoy!:banger:

The amount of misinformation on this forum is staggering. Yes, some of the 3.0/autos came from the factory with 4.88s. I have one.

Jay351 01-04-2008 03:22 PM

Yes the auto/31" tire runners came with 4.88's..... I have a factory set in my garage infact ;)

Lock it f/r, put on a snorkel, add the same size tire in a MT and you'll be pretty surprised where that piece will go.

Paul H. 01-04-2008 03:40 PM

As Jay said, if you have an auto, 31 " tires came with 4:88's.

tc 01-04-2008 06:53 PM

x whatever we're up to - 3.0/auto/31's = 4.88 (manual is 4.56 BTW)

yet another Taco guy that don't know squat about the preTaco trucks

How far? Far. Really far.

also a x2billion the 4.88 thing.

Here is a list of trails that my truck did bone stock: no tires, no lift, no lockers no gears, no armor.

You did Carnage bone stock? How was that - a little nerve wracking?

AxleIke 01-04-2008 10:53 PM

More than a little. But, it was before most of the obstacles were dug out like they are now. It was a lot easier.
