ok i searched and coudent find anything usefull. OK my 95 pickups horn didnt work changed the horn wala it worked. one month later back at square one. Checked the fuse good checked the horn its works when you test it. now i dont hear a relay click like i hear im supposed to. i tryed to figure out where it is i know its by the kickpannel fusebox inside but only see one relay which isnt it. anyone please help! pics would be superb. i would like to get this horn to work with the original in steering wheel button. ANY ideas! thanks

 

ohhh also contacts in steering collum are fine cant beep the horn at all no matter how the wheel is turned or if i try to ground the brass thing with the wheel off

 

This is from my personal experience but I lost my horns capability to "honk" a little while ago. I replaced he horn, it worked for maybe 2 or 3 test "honks". I ended up cutting the factory harness at the plug and just wired my own connectors to it. Mine looked really bad and I thought maybe over the 16 to 17 years thats she has been used, that maybe the connecting harness went. Well after by-passing the stock harness and just crimping some ends on her she has worked fine for 3 weeks now. Just a thought. Sorry I don't have a good way of testing for you.

check that its grounded properly.
same problem , moved the ground wire to different location, works fine.

Actually it's over $300 for a train horn and a 3 gallon OBA kit to run it. You can get just the horn for about $140 if you bring your own air.

Like I said, I love it and IMO it was worth every penny for it...

 

any cheaper options really cool train horn tho

Overdrive, is the train horn as loud as a real train horn?

If so that's nuts, we have a train that goes by our house over 1 mile away and i can still hear the horn easy.

 

just replace it with a train horn. Bam people get the f out of the way!

 

It's every bit as loud as a real one. It has the same pitch and tone as the Leslie 3 chime train horns do. I blew it at a train once and he blew back, they sounded exactly the same. If anything, mine was a little louder.

An old man cut me off once and I blew it at him. He locked up all 4 wheels and swerved off the road.

 

oh man.. if I had the extra $$.. I would do it.. that is hilarious!
