did you notice a differnece in road noice?

 

Nope none at all...

Need to get her inspected, had to replace lower control arms. Now waiting on my guy to get his stickers. I'll let you know in a few days, I hope. (Just got her about a month ago) So I haven't driven since this has been done. I do think it'll be a bit louder though. I really don't mind much.

Hey looks good, I'm thinking about doing the same thing to my truck. Where did you get the floormats? Looks like the fit good.

 

I was planning on having my board sprayed with Line-X, but was worried about weight. I don't know if I like how it looks tho. How does it help with road noise? The stock metal is just so thin. Cool project!

 

I'm in the process of getting all of the goods to line my floor as we speak. the seats and carpet are out, but what about the the tar on the floor? Should i worry about trying to get it off or just go right over it with the brush, i was also thinking of buying some sound deadner and just cover the floor debating on how expensive that would be. what did you guys too about the tar?

 

So how has the hood worked out? With the heat fromt he engine, etc. Does it smell still?

 

dont use the cheapo stuff from walmart- it's like 3$ a can or something like that i regret it. it never dried after 74hrs at least not all the way there were some spots that turned to nothing but thick tar like area's. i guess im going to have to use a grinder to get rid of it.

 

If it's really sticky, throw some dry ice on it to freeze it and take it off with a chisel, screwdriver or air hammer. Works like a charm for the "sticky" stuff.

Why coat the underside of the hood?
