herculined my floorboard. pics

i herculined my floorboards this past thursday and friday. it turned out pretty good. i had been wanting to do it for a while, and i sunk my truck last week and flooded my floorbpards, gotta love that mildue. so i figured i might as well go ahead and do it. i ripped the carpet it out, sanded the crap out of it, then washed the crap out of it. my gf got the brigh tidea of putting it on the plastic around the doors to, so i thought what the heck. don tdo it. bc once you chip it, it peels off very easy. road noice aint to bad now.

I've been thinking about doing this for some time now. How much did the herc run you and how much did you need for the entire project?

For me it was a spur of the moment thing. I had some oil additive leak onto the carpet. So naturally, I had to pull it up to clean it. I had some cans of bed liner spray in the back. So while the carpet was pulled, I decided to unbolt my seats and spray the liner in. Didnt to much prep other than cleaning the floor. Took me about 2 hours. An extra hour because I ran out of spray and had to go shopping for more. But could be done in about an hour I'd say.

Go with the $50 herculiner kit. I used up about 5 cans of spray liner, which was about $7 a can. I still have to buy more to touch it up. In the end, it would be cheaper to get the $50 kit than a few cans.

I'd also suggest laying down some sound deadening material before you start spraying. The cab gets loud without the carpet.

yeah I bet it smells nice

I just undercoated my hood, and the smell from that junk was horrible

I'm kinda wandering what it's going to smell like once the hood's on, and the heat from the exhaust starts enveloping it

Looks great! Take off your shifter plate and paint it black too. That'd make it look better

Hahaha.

I'm not sure how the hood is going to workout. It gets pretty toasty under there.

Get Durabak. That stuff is 120$$ a gallon but works great. I did the floor of my old F250 and just used the rest to put 1 coat on my yotas bed. Trust me. Its worth the extra money becuse it will last. And you can get it in a ton of different colors.
