Headlights won't hit brights?

All right guys. My headlights work on low beams but not high! I push forward and they go out. However, if I hold it back they work correctly. Switch? Relay? What say you?

I did read one thread about a relay you can clean up and it will fix it.

Any memory of the thread title, I had a prob like this but it solved itself after a trip to the mountains. I figured it was all the bumpy roads lol.

No memory of it at all. I seen it not to long ago but honestly I don't remember the thread title.

It was a relay that gets “burned out“ over the years the fix was to clean the connections I think.

I'm on my bb so when I get to a pc ill try and search it up. Search headlight relay. Bound to come up with something

I had the same problem. Used the air compressor and blew out lots of dog hair and dirt from the steering column, and no more problem.
Hopefully the fix is that easy for you.

if you hit the combo switch on the column and you hear a click n the engine compartment then it's not the switch. but...... here is that info about cleaning the switch. http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTri...eadlight_Combo

Thanks a lot guys. It's been a very busy week. I will let you know the condition and repair when I get to it hopefully in a couple of days.
