Headers on 22rE, loud?

Regarding hearders & noise........
I'm considering LC headers on my 94' pu, 22re.
Are they very loud or can they be tamed with good muffler?
I don't mind a small increase but it is my daily driver and long trip' taken truck. It might be fine for short trips or going to work but what about 3 plus hours?

as long as you keep your cat on, and putt a flowmaster 50 series on it, it will be about stock sound or maybe a little louder. but if you cut the cat out it will sound like a pissed off bumble bee even with a good muffler

Muffler makes or brakes your noise.
Please search LC headers on the forum here and try I believe we even have some muffler soundbytes somewhere in the tech archives.
Stop doing that to your text as well. It is annoying.

Yeah, sure sounds like it, but it could be the exhaust too.

What's the quietest muffler you can buy for cheap? I'd far rather have a quiet truck after headers.
