Question Hard shifting into 2nd gear?

Hey guys I got a 91 toyota pickup 2wd and I have some difficulty especially in the mornings when the truck is first started. The shifter doesn't want to slip into 2nd and it almost takes some pizzaz to get the thing in 2nd. It does not grind but its just difficult to shift into 2nd gear. The shifter bushing was replaced by toyota not long ago by the previous owner, bought the truck with all receipts since new! What do you think the problem is? thanks..

Some good GL-4 gear oil may help. I like Redline MT-90 in mine:
