Got scoop or cowl hood post picture

Hey all you yota guys and gals who have scoop or cowl hood post some pictures I am doing some research into what kind of scoop/cowl injection hoods are out there or can be built. I would love to see everyones scoops if you can post them. I am leaning towards a cowl look like on chevy truck hoods unless I see a scoop that looks good...

I am doing a 3.4 swap and will have to cut hood or body lift but i am not a big fan of body lifts..

2000 4Runner sport hood scoop grafted on to an 89 hood. Not finished yet.

I don't know if you looking for strictly custom hoods or not but heres some early pictures of my Glassworks hood. the bottom picture was taken after I laid two layers of fiberglass on the underside, to stiffen it up.

Here's my cowl, its a fox body mustang cowl - not quite as hi-tech as others and non-functional for now. Just trying to figure out if I want a giant hole in my hood or a loovers in the reverse direction to the cowl to lessen the crap in the engine bay...

On a serious note though, You have a 90ish, So do I, And I always thought it would look pretty slick to cut this part out and put some mesh on the inside......Name: DSCN0335-Copy.jpg

Although I'm afraid of what the response will be I have to ask..... What good is a hood scoop on a Toyota pickup? I mean if you're doing it for looks then by all means go for it since that sport scoop looks great but other than that what good will it do?

Besides, a little extra air flow never hurt nobody

I have been planning on making my own custom cowl induction hood when I do an engine swap. I wanted to extend the factory lines and just flare it up a little.. I member on here has one that I really like, but I suck at remembering names.

Those showdown customs hoods are killer lookin. Lil pricey but killer looking. Thats the ONLY decent looking production cowl hood that im aware of in existance for 89-95 yotas. If youre building a pretty pretty show truck, thats the way to go if you have deep pockets...

Except if you cut out that part of the hood all you would see is the top of the radiator.

not necessarily...

dont just cut a hole... cut a line, and bend the back piece(towards the windshield) downward so its under the front lip...

http://www.aeolus-online.com/catalog...Fiber_Hood.jpg

kinda like this, only not so carbon-fibery...

there are some cheep hood scoops on jc whiteny that look good. u can cutt a hole in your hood and mount it from the bottom and bondo the seams. its easy and looks good. i did it to my old 79 2wd ratrod toy. it had a 305 v6 from a 60s gmc.fast little thing.it found a pole and i found the hospital. but the hood still looked good.
