That thing is sweet...

wow... that looks really nice man...

i like the little touches that you did like the lexus symbol and painting the grill to match body color... altho something looks terribly off with that for being a 91... is that a 93+ front clip??

also, where did you get those fender flares and the lower valence??

anyways, wicked ride...

Thanks. It's a 1991 Hilux Surf, the Japanese version of the 4Runner which includes the facelift front and fender extensions, commonly known as the 'Wide body' Surf. The older style fronts ended in '89.
The manufacture date can be found on the seatbelt tag.

My 93 that needed a way to evacuate the heat from the 350 Shivalay. unfortunately the previous owner riveted the scoop on and I haven't had time to make it right. Name: August122008011.jpg

Bodylines don't match? The hood was shimmed supposedly to let the excess heat out. That will be rectified soon enough. You mean the scoop doesn't match the truck? I agree, I'd like to use a factory Toyota scoop.

hope this is of help to you mate, its bolted down through the hood, fortunatley its only for show theres no function to it, but it easily can be made to drag air in, though i do have a snorkel fitted if it was functional it would prove useless really.

If you're referring to my truck...Thanks. I can't take credit for building it though. The first owner lifted it right after it was delivered and the second owner did the V8, scoop and Thornturds. It had always worn Boggers when Mauzy owned it. All I did was get the engine running right and the cooling system working right(sort of)it still tries to heat up on warm days. I hacked the heck out of the support behind the grille to fit the radiator and fan. There's no room for a fan on the engine side.

As for the one posted next, that thing looks tough and usable. Not like my big 2 wheel drive.

thanks for the comment mate, much appreciated, nice to know ya work you do is worth while. its weird how most people do actually give way to me now or move over to let me pass. At the moment its proving very very functional, its towed my old mans car ( mk6 ford escort ) up a hill that the highway people have to divert when it snows like it is doing at the minute, i had to tow upwards as traffic was backing up behind me to get passed to a turning the diversion led em to, so i locked up the hubs, set her in 4wd hi and it chugged away up the hill without a care in the world. i god damn love my truck cant wait for the summer cruising around to a soundtrack of black label society & down.

Here's mine. Small but functional. Used a cheap aftermarket glassfiber unit.
I had to use it to cool the turbo and exhaust manifold. Several hoses kept melting/deforming on me.
