Got headers...need exhaust system!

Just picked up NWOR headers from local CraigsLister. Would like to know what exhaust system to put with. Any recommendations are appreciated. Please include link to websites so I can make the purchase. BTW...3.0 V6 5Spd 4x4.

Thanks in advance.

Don't see where you live but I would suggest Magnaflow for a catalytic converter and 2.25" pipe in to your choice of Magnaflow or Flowmaster mufflers... I like the Magnaflow myself but you may prefer something else.

Thanks for the info. Can I still use the stock cat with the new muffler like Flowmaster 40? BTW...I'm in Colorado.

Yes, you can use the stock converter.

What is the diameter of the stock cat? Will 2.25 inch piping work?

just make sure the header outlet tapers down to match the inlet to the stock converter in several steps as opposed to one sharp step down directly in front of the converter.
Like if the header collector is 2.5" and the converter is 1.75", step from 2.5" to 2.25" then to 2.0" between the header collector and converter, then to 1.75" a few inches in front of the converter.

And somewhere in there, the stock O2 sensor will need installed.

Thanks for the much needed info. I will look for a muffler and get the project rolling if I'm motivated enough and the weather warms up. Thanks again.

I am planning on doing a lot of work to my 93 3.0 and I will be very interested in to see if the exhaust upgrades are worth it. I hope you post a follow up on your results.
