oz, whys your truck so snowy if your in san diego?? my problems arent done yet either. i still have an oil leak (somewhere in the front passenger of the engine), maybe a radiator leak, a dead bolt on the skid plate to make matters more difficult, and i think the oil leak gave my palpatations when i accelerate so maybe a 2 hr drive isnt the best for me right now. im down for beer anytime though.

also mack, wouldnt it be easier just to buy one? south carolina is a ways away. i need to fix my engine quick so i can give my girlfriend her car back.

It's the pulsation dampener. They are known for having issues including leaks and 'buzzing' noise during operation. They were removed in later engines (I believe around 91-92).

Yup, had to replace mine. The plastic had cracked on it and it was leaking fuel.
It was like $95 at the dealership

lol, that's wrong scub

but funny non the less

that pic though, that's the fuel inlet line at the rail. there's a copper gasket as soon as you remove that banjo-bolt, and if you lift the line off the rail itself once you remove the bolt, there's another gasket underneith it; or at least there is suppose to be...

for refference, another Paint special

this pic is the one I was reffering to:

what year is your Toy? I only ask because if that pic is from your motor, then the end tip of that fuel rail looks smooth, like it does not have the pulse thingamajigy on the end, as it was mentioned earlier that is was removed from the models... therefore, it wouldn't be leaking from there, it would have to be coming from where the inlet line meets the rail (exactly what that is a picture of)
