take the line going to the carb off and turn the engine over , gas should come out.

that's what you get for not putting any drygas in the tank when it reaches 0-10 at night all winter...now look what you have to deal with...

im so pissed. I started to take off the pump. I loosened the first bolt partly-no problem. Then the second. It started and about 1 turn in it snaped in half Now i not only have to replace the pump but also must have the remaining bolt drilled and taped. Just my luck.

Well I guess it sounds like you might just have to get yourself a 22re

Anyone have a better explination as to where the connector is that must be jumpered. I have a 3.0 so my ˟˟˟˟˟ is reversed. I have a similar looking connector on the pass side It leads to a module that is heavily heat sinked. Is this the connector. Im trying to trouble shoot a starting issue in my 88 4runner. It takes a few sec of cranking and even then sonetimes it will stutter, requiring me to continue to crank until the engine fully turns over.

I see now that what I thought was the correct connector is not. So where is this thing.

Never mind I found it. mine IS in the diagnostics box. I jumpered it for less than a sec and fuel GUSHED out of my return line (which I unhooked) so Im thinking my FP is good. I think I have an air leak, probably the intake plenum gasket which I replaced last week when I replaced my leaking press. regulator. If thats the case I dont see the harm in letting it be a little leaky as long as I have this mod.

BTW what will happen if I leave the ignition on while not running the engine. forcing the FP to run. Will it just flow back via the return. I know the chevys have that loud a$$ FP that comes on with the ignition but eventually shuts off. Just checking.
