Abecedarian: what did you use? When I cleaned my plenum ("upper intake manifold") I tried paint thinner, carb cleaner, even soaking it over night in a strong solution of dishwasher detergent (that actually worked pretty well). Do you know of something that works better?

 

Berryman B-12 Chemtool dip seems to remove just about anything, even carbon.
