Will the VIN number itself work? I don't have the truck with me. but have the title. It is a 91 Toyota short bed deluxe pickup and body type is TK

There's just too many choices that way.
I'm guessing you have a vehicle that needs a frame.
The factory service manual has detailed measurements for the various frames each year. You can look at 1991 FSM and get your existing frame measurements/diagrams.
As you find potential donors you can look up the specs for that frame and compare. Odds are, some modifications will be needed, but at least you'll know where.

if you had access to the truck you could look up the frame number that's stamped on the frame, it's generally a different number from the vin.
