wondering whether to rebuild, swap to another 22re or buy rebuilt engine for 1990 4x4 pickup?

 

What happened to the old engine? If it's completely ruined, a swap is the cheapest option by far, but it's a crapshoot.

I rebuilt mine and have no regrets. A little cheaper than buying a reman, I know exactly what I've got and I now have the knowledge to do it again when needed.
