Emissions Removal (offroad purposes) ; )

I have an 87 P/U with the 22r (EFI) and I want to clean up all the unecassary mess in the Engine Bay.

I would like to get rid of the emissions garbage and minimise the amount of vaccume lines that seem to be everywhere.

Where can I find the info that helps me identify what I can remove and still have a running truck.

Thanks in advance.

Where do you live?
And if you have a 22r with EFI, you have a 22RE. 22R is carbureted.

One option:

Also could lose the idle up stuff for the power steering and A/C if present. EGR is about the only other item there, everything else is pretty much needed to run the engine.

Federal regulations prohibit you from modifying any emissions equipment originally installed by the factory or dealer in order to permit that vehicle for sale. Modifying or otherwise defeating those systems is not permitted under any federal law for any vehicle operated on federally maintained roadways. States may give you some other leeway but just a head's up.

So think for a moment- is that fire, desert, access road a federally maintained road?....
Check before you drive.

First off Love the Avatar....

But on the other stuff spare me the lecture. I'm not concerned about emissions legalities. I'm just needing advice on what I can remove and still have a running truck as stated in my first post.

22re or as I said 22r (EFI) WHATEVER man tomato toeFREAKINmahto. I'm new here, sue me.
