DT header gasket advice ?'s
So finishing a head gasket replacement. The stock style exhaust gasket is not sealing up with the DT header. Has anyone had success using hi temp sealant to fix such a problem. Going to try it anyways as the holidays are close and the santa fund is only so big, so need to conserve funds for now.

Was thinking of Remflex. Seems the issue is the 22RE head has pair shaped exhaust ports and the DT header is round. The OEM style gasket (Victor Reinz) won't seal; not the sound off leaking air but a loud ping/pop like the port is open with no exhaust. Its at the 4 cylinder at about the 10/11 oclock position. When I pulled the the gasket out to try the sealant it was obvious on the crush ring where contact was poor. Don't know if I should be looking at a 22RE pair shaped gasket or a 20R with the round shape? Thinking the round is a better choice.
