Drain holes in frame ???
I was told today that I might want to drill extra drain holes in to my frame. because of its box construction it will hold water. any body doing this??? I have not heard this advice before.

The last thing you need is more holes for crap to get into. You also have to worry about rust proofing. Drilling holes in frames for no reason doesn't seem like a good idea to me...

Don't bother. If that was a problem, hopefully Toyota would have addressed it. Like the others have said you don't need anymore holes in your frame...why weaken the frame to keep it from weakening?

I agree no need for more..
But be careful of the tube crossmember behind the tank. Water must get in there and sit, cause mine rotted from the inside out. Im replacing it this week.

I would do one by the rear spring hanger mount, the only issue is rust proofing you could paint it then get a brush and jam it in there to get the top.
Strength can be dealt with holes of the right size add surface area. hence more area to spread the weight.
