Drain Holes...

After I finally go and get my '88 4rnr, I'm simply going to drive it. Until the weather becomes less hateful that is, and I begin to do fun things to it. Something I wanted to do to my last runner ('85) was strip the carpet and rhino/hercu/por-15 the entire interior. I still want to do it with my new one, but I am not sure where all to add drainage plugs. I also have not found in my scourings here a source for plugs. I'm sure I missed that one thread that had all the details, but any help would be appreciated.

the body already has holes for drains covered by removable rubber plugs

my '80 has alot of them...about 6 or 8...then one BIG one in the driverside floor pan (rust...really aint a floor pan left)...i took the rubber plugs out...then im going to plug them back up...(once i get my rust fixed) and herculine the whole interior...the whole back, floor, and all the way up to the pedals...but i gotta figure out a way to fix that rust problem...anybody got any ideas?...or where i could get the material to fix it with...thanks

Yeah, I know there are some, but is that sufficient? I know I know, the next response will be "well, what do you plan on doing that you'll need all these drain plugs?" And my response would be "well I'm not completely sure, but I have hobbies and will be using this truck for things that aren't exactly the cleanest."

I'm just curious if more of the people who have done the interior lining (with herc or similar) ended up drilling more holes that Toyota did...

well...i removed my interior and hosed it all down(lots of dirt and stuff from no rear window for a few months, p.o a/c), it drained faster than i could hose, so i think it would be good enough. remember the more holes u make the more leaks you can have while floting across the pond....

My floor was really bad i just cut it back to were the good metal was and
used a sgaure peice of 18 gauge sheetmetal and welded to the floor and then fiberglassed over all the welds

I've got a rust free Montana rig...now it lives in Missouri...it is now doomed!

For the first time in it's life, it will start getting rained on without the topper in place. I was contemplating applying some sort of sealant inside of the rear quarters down at the bottom where dust and water will start collecting. Do you guys think this will help to delay the onslaught of rust OR will I be speeding up the process? I know there are drain holes, but there are lots of crevices water can set in that have been dry for the last twenty years.
