looks fine to me. it's just drooped out. Does it make any noises or anything going down the road?

Das Boot??? Not yet, no grease spatter everywhere, but will probably be soon. I just did this job a short while ago, might as well be ready to do wheel bearings, and possibly brake rotors/pads as well (both sides, and both boots). Kill as many birds with one stone as possible.

Our '91 PU does the same clicking noise offroad not on speed bumps. I like to know what it is so I could fix it.

I've had that click come from the shock.. my drivers side lower shock hoop skirted off the rubber bushing and is a bit lose and not something you can tighten without just shuving the hoop back on the rubber bushing..anyway it rattles a bit, click click.....bump click hehe

that CV halfshaft looks fine. If it were broke the boot would be torn.

oh and the shafts arent suppost to appear to go directly into the housings.. they spin offcenter a bit, dont ask me why its just how they're designed.

well i do have the original shocks on the beast. i may finally be time to switch em out, and see if that resolves the off road click clack.

bump noise

A friend that had the same noise on a 94' pickup occasionally.
Found out the lower shock bolt was the culprit.
We had to remove the nut to see the damage though.
