Do ALL 2nd gen 4Runners sag in the rear?
I've been wondering about this since I first got my 4Runner. I see so many around sagging in the rear and I see talk of it on here all the time. But my 4Runner has 180k miles on it and no sag in the rear at all - if anything the rear is slightly higher than the front. I am the third owner, but have very comprehensive service paperwork and no mention of ever having anything done with the rear springs. Is it possible that they really are the original springs back there? Or did someone sneak some new springs in there at some point?
Thanks,
Chris
Thanks,
Chris

I would presume that your springs have been replaced at some point, but maybe you're one of the few lucky ones that haven't had this problem. Perhaps the previous owners never loaded anything in the cargo area and never towed anything, so the springs haven't settled as much as had the vehicle been loaded down at some point. Just be thankful that you don't have this problem!

When I first got my '93 with 63,000 on it, it didn't have the sag. One year w/ me and camping trips and it was sagging terribly. That is when I discovered this lovely place. Now I need a second job!

Mine doesn't.. happy about that - but I have seen a 4runner with only OME springs in the rear and it looks great.. I intend to do the same thing.. with bushwackers and 32x11.5 tires.
