Well since I've been home over break I got a chance to do a couple things i wanted to get done on the runner. First of all, here's how she started when I first got her over the summer:


Then I took off the running boards and put on a set of 31x10.50's on stock yota rims that came with the truck. I painted the rims with black duplicolor bedliner. I also added some rockford fosgate p1 12's with a rockford amp.



After rear-ending a parked car in the parkin lot at school (tryin to have fun in the snow ) i broke a corner light, so i got clear ones and clear turn signals. I also added some 100W spot lights that i got for christmas from the girlfriend. This weekend I painted the bottom part of the body, my third brake light cover, and the brackets for the fog lights with duplicor bedliner. I also got some new meats 32x11.50 Matercraft Courser MT's, only paid 135 a tire installed... cant beat that! Heres some pics of the truck that I took today... sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, but its all I got right now:







As I do more things to the truck, I'll add them here. I plan to do cruiser coils in the rear and ball joint spacers in the front. I will also make bumpers, sliders, and I got some pretty sweet ideas for a basket for the roof also. I'll keep ya updated... feel free to give me any comments or suggestions!

 

nice work.. btw you neednt make a seccond post.. the mods are usually pretty good at moving things to the right area.. just dont make a habit of it..

Looks great. Everytime i see someone paint the bottom part on there runner it makes me wanna do the same.

What did you use to sand it? What grit?

I started out using a scuff pad then i lost my patience and was sick of it after 2 minutes. I then got some 150 that i had laying around the house. You are suppose to be able to paint the duplicolor bedliner on bare metal, but i just took it down to bare metal in a couple spots that had some surface rust. Other than that, i pretty much just scuffed it so it wasnt shiney any more.

 

Looks great, except the sticker on the back...GO PITT (not that u guys ever really play each other)

Not much of a fan of running boards either, but I wonder how they'd look on with that bottom painted.

 

Hey guys, cleaned the truck up pretty good today and took some pics... i know theres a lot of pics, i just like to share...

















I'm thinkin about takin the side parts off the bumper tomorrow and painting bedliner on the body behind them and just leaving them off. I saw it on another truck on here and I liked how it looked. I also may cut the air dam on the front so the tires wont rub on it, it does rub a tiny bit there, but thats the only place.

 

GEEZ! Again, great job. I wonder if that black would look good on my 4runner.

TubbyFatty- i bet it would look pretty good. I did this to my old truck and i liked it a lot on it too.

and nah, rims not cracked...just some water from the wash lol
