For that price I would rather buy a bunch of cheap ones and just replace them as they break.

HAHAHAHA, at that price I'd just buy another 4Runner with new cv axles. What a joke. $1,995 is a lot for two axles even if they massage your back after a long day of work for 20 years.

Not a joke, its piece of mind knowing that you can abuse them all day long and they'll get you home.

No they are not for everyone, but I like the idea that if I hold the trail up, it's because I took the wrong line, not because I need to get out and change a broken CV.

I've been wheeling for 20+ years and have owned leaf sprung, coil sprung, and even coil-over'd live axle rigs and am having more fun with my long travel 4Runner than I thought possible.

IFS long travel soaks up the bumps in ways that a live axle can't compare and with the stronger parts being made available the IFS can now hang with big tires and abusive wheeling. Cutting edge parts aren't cheap, but it is nice being ahead of the curve.....

The sig is to remind everybody what the consensus of IFS has been in the past.
