Smile crank wont turn

ok here is the thing just got my 30 over block back with pis rings and over berrings,,,,,i titened the crank down to only 40 ft pounds , and i couldnt turn it by hand.....should i just pay 200$ to have a ase put the crank,pistions,rings,timing and head together 4 me.......this truck is a bam headach....DAVE , ps what the hell is wiki?????

Was the crank turned down to a smaller diameter? If not you don't need the oversize bearings. I would get a manual and plastiguage to determine your clearances. Follow a manual and you can get it back together and would be more satisfying. If your not comfortalble with it go ahead and have it assembled by a shop.

yes the crank was turned .025 over and the cyinder walls were borred .030 over...

Did you put some type of lubricant on before you tightened the crank journals?

The same thing just happened on my rebuild turns out it was the thrust washers

Try taking it all apart and LUBE it up real good make sure you get lots on those thrust washers
