core support bushing

Hi, I am replacing my core support and I have already drilled it out and removed the old one. I am going to use rivet nuts so that the new one is not spot welded in but rather bolted in so it will be removable. I cannot seem to find the replacement bushings that the core support sits on / bolts through on the bottom. Doesn’t seem like they are the ‘body mount bushings’
thanks for any help

here's a parts diagram showing the body mounts and all the hardware. i assume you're looking for #1
The two actual rubber mounts( 52201C and 52202B) are 52202-35050 and 52201-35050
Both show discontinued. I dealt with a similar obstacle on my 1987 RN6#, but eventually found oem rubber mounts that worked. So you can get Toyota ones if you hunt around and order a similar one under a different part number. I had originally installed poly bushings and absolutely hated them, made the truck ride so hard i was afraid they'd crack the floorpan.

edit: If you Google the part number I listed you will find a few sources claiming they can get that part number. Sites like Carmarka, Yoshiparts, etc. They can't. They'll accept your order, then cancel and refund a few days later. Once Toyota in Japan marks something discontinued it's a dead part number. You'll need to either find one off another Toyota that's similar and still available, or aftermarket.
I imagine the bolt hole in most Toyota truck mounts are close to the same, And the outer dimension probably can handle some variance. The big deal would be the height, and one too tall can easily be shaved down.
Being able to pull the core support assembly would make a lot of engine work a ton easier. My old 1962 Willys could do that. Hope It works out on yours.. You should post pictures as you go.

Ok, I seen that diagram and yeah did notice that it was difficult to find a solid source for that part when looking it up with the number. Do you have any recommendations to go with as far as aftermarket ones go? I have had some difficulty finding them as well.
Thanks

I see Dorman has some on Amazon that might work, and they appear to be rubber.
I spent ages looking and researching rubber mounts for mine, but that's because I was deadset on getting the poly ones off my 4R. I was really happy i spent the effort, the rubber really made a huge improvement in ride quality over the poly. But some people just don't care and think poly is the greatest.

Check out this thread. Might be of some help
yotatech bushings

I think the part numbers i used for my core support are still available. how different a 1987 is I dunno. But either they're too tall, and you have to shave rubber off, or they're too short, and may have to put a spacer.

Body bushings

I’ll second the harshness of poly bushings. Made the same mistake. If you find the body mounts for an 89-95 pickup let me know. They’re easy enough to swap in/out, but hard to find. The core support I’d think would make less of a difference for ride quality, and I actually need the extra space to fit my triple core radiator.. but I’d love to find the rubber body bushings and toss the poly in the trash. For the op here, if you just need the core support, then energy suspension and other poly companies sell a kit for the pickup/4Runner. A phone call may allow you to order just the core support bushings. Really any bushing will work that is close. You’ll see if you ever remove your bed that the factory used sheet rubber between the frame and bed. There’s lots of kits out there that have similar sized bushings. Buy a few on Amazon and return the ones that don’t work.

Could try cruiserparts.com.
You may have to modify to make it work, but at least it's rubber and not poly.
Cruiserparts does list the oem part numbers. You could always take that and see what it would cost on Amayama after shipping. They were much cheaper than any USA supplier(about 50% less) when I got mine

yeah, I read the other thread after posting last night. I think I will try something here soon. EBay does have them listed when searching, seller is located in Thailand I believe. $73 with coupon. Could be exact kit you installed. I’d had them in my cart on eBay for a long time.

I didn’t get those Thai cushions like some others did.But that one old thread did have some useful info that I used in getting my oem. Some of the part numbers I needed had been discontinued also, but that old thread gave me some alternative years that worked.

Regardless, any rubber is better than poly imho. A while back ago my friend who worked at TMS in the tech dept stopped by and we discussed poly. He kinda winced at how much stress and vibration was no longer being absorbed by the softer rubber and now transferred to the sheet metal floor.

As Jim said, these are on Amazon. 2WD vs 4WD ?, but rubber and I’d bet will work great. I may snag these for my 95 4WD. Poly are terrible. My CSF 3 core radiator was just slightly touching my frame there in the front, so I went to poly years back. It enabled the space I needed with my ARB bumper weight, but I hate them. You get new hardware here too, if desired. I’m currently searching for the four cab mounts for myself in hopes that I can keep poly at the core support and rubber/silicone at the cab mounts. IDK
