Went up steep trail..couldn't make it...went back down in reverse (no other options) and ended up hitting a tree. Couldn't go forward because tire was spinning and couldn't use my brothers truck because we couldn't get it by mine. It was a tight trail. Anyway...this is what we did...






We just winched it sideways. Worked very well...not sure how safe it was though.

And the damage...lol

The part that kills me is that you've done more wheeling in that damn 2 wheel drive than I've done in my built "trail rig". I have got to find more time to wheel.

Yeah i was pinned against a tree. I first pulled the truck forward with a stump and a come-along. Then pulled it sideways.

Dueler`s for 14 inch rims! Don`t go with much bigger tires, I think that 225-70r14 size is pretty cool on 2wd yoters. I see you have the rear-bumper delete mod, invaluable for 2wd wheelers...

A rear locker makes things `different`when driving in the snow. But they are worth it in terms of off-road driving.

 

I already have 225-70r14's.

 

And...those tires look pretty darn good...but what about just getting two aggressive tires for the rear?

 

How hard would it be to pick up a set of 15" rims for the rear, buy some inexpensive off road type tires and put them on the rims and then just swap them out when you go out to play?
