Clutch advice

I pulled the tranny on my 90 pickup to fix a input seal leak and there is oil on the cutch disc so it needs replaced. Marlin seems to be sold out of all their clutches and I have not had a reply to when they will be back in stock. I was planning on going with their 1200lbs clutch. The previous owner said there it has a Aisin clutch installed so I am guessing its all stock. If Marlin is really sold out will I regret not upgrading? Current clutch works great, but after reading all the forms I think I took in too much info and I am second guessing myself on getting another aisin or marlin. I do not go crazy rock crawling. Just decent trails.

22re, 5.29, 37s double tcase.

I'm not sure if they make it for the 22re but I'm running a centerforce Kevlar dual friction on my rig (r150f with 3.4 flywheel and clutch kit)

My VW diesel makes 300 ft lbs of torque at 1900 rpms. The clutch feels like a stick clutch. Very friendly as a daily driver. I have 4.30 gears and 285 70 17s.

If they make it for your set up I would recommend it so far. I have about 2000 miles on the set up.

I purchased from jegs/summit and purchased the extra 3 year warranty.

37 tires with a stock clutch that had oil on it and it wasn't slipping? A heavier duty clutch is probably a good idea, but that's amazing. Thumbs up for Aisin.

I couldn't wait for Marlin to get them in stock either so I went with a stock clutch. That was quite a few years ago and I DO rock crawl on baddass trails and never had a problem. I did have the step machined in my flywheel as recommended by Marlin.

I think you will be fine as well since you have dual cases. I think big tires and stock gearing would hurt any clutch though. Even Marlin's.

Marlin has no timeframe for when their clutches will be available again. I ordered a 9-5/16 flywheel from them and ill get the larger clutch from Aisin to go along with it. Kind of an upgrade I guess? I am sure the “stock” clutch will be just fine. Thanks for all the replies!
