Question Cluster upgrade question(s)

Okay so I have decided that I need to get the cluster with the tach, I know that there are some write-up on this already however no one has addressed the issue of, can u use the V6 (the one without the grey lines) cluster in a 22re 4runner and have accurate RPM's. A friend of mine said when he tried to do this to another car that had been made for USA and Japan the tach was set up to read them differently. I just don't want to buy the wrong one.

wow, thanks, but it's just not worth the trouble. I'll just have to deal with the grey lines.

I have an Autometer Tach on the door pillar (or whatever you call it), but I have my SR5 cluster ready to go in. I need the oil psi and volts just as much as the tach.

I know I could do the HUGE or tiny tach but that's not for me, I want all of my upgrades to look like it came that way to the non-toyota guys while at the same time the 4runner freaks can appreciate the upgrades. Besides it just looks better to me!

yeah. that's the most important thing is that it looks good to you. i guess an external tach isn't really the runner look!
