Which bulbs to put in my "new" instrument cluster??

"New" instrument cluster will be arriving in a couple days, and was curios what you recommend for bulbs in the cluster. Probably not a bad idea to replace the bulbs (due to age of bulbs already in the unit), plus, what's the cool color to have??!!

Thanks.

Vmax what kind of rig do you have? I changed my whole cluster to all blue bulbs with white indiglo gauges. It looks awesome at night with needles lit up blue an the odo and trip blue as well.

89 4runner with the 4 cylinder engine and standard guages. I do have an instrument cluster coming for it (the one with tach, pressure guages, etc), but before I install the new cluster, I want to change out the bulbs (don't feel like tearing it apart again for a while), plus, I kinda want a "cool" looking dash at night..............some of us just have too much time on our hands!!

Sweet...ya just look around online you can find blue bulbs around. The ones in a stock cluster are just a normal bulb with a rubber green "condom" over the bulb. I bought some stuff when I was overseas that you can use to actually paint bulbs and I changed every bulb in my interior to blue even the ones in my rear defrost, rear window, and front windows to blue.

If it aint broke don't fix it. The stock bulbs seem to last forever. The 3 center bulbs are illumination, they have a green rubber cover over bulb that may not be reusable.
Clear illumination bulbs will cause reflections off the windshield.

That green is just so nasty though... Don't knock it till you've tried it.. Blue is way cooler.....
