budget issues, need advice

Folks I've got a problem. I have the money for a full set of 33/9.50/15 BFG AT's OR my 4:88 difffs, locker and lift.

I've read the threads about what should be first in any build so I know what direction I need to go. So far I've got a bullet proof drivetrain and I know I can't wheel my little 86 SR5 stock. So I'm looking for some advice.

I can do one of two things.

1) I can buy the tires (33 9.50 15's) and hope they fit and deal with an under powered 22re/ 5 speed.

OR

2) I can get the 4:88 diffs delivered, buy and install the Aussie in the rear of the 4:88 diff and have my lift delivered but have them sit on the shelf for a MONTH until my next bonus.

I HATE having upgrade parts sitting in the shed so my fear is that I'll install the lift, diffs and locker and try to drive on 27 inch tires for a month waiting for the money for the tires.

I need help making this decision!!!

Thanks in advance.
Ricky

Gears and locker.

With those tires, you don't need a lift.

So, problem solved. Buy the gears and locker, put them in. Next month, buy the tires. Pound the pinch weld flat, and rock and roll.

Definitely gears and locker. You'll be much happier with yourself once you get the tires on.

Definitely better to run around on 27's with too low of gears than to run around with 33's and too high of gears. It's low highway speed vs. kissing 5th gear goodbye for a while.

make sure to get the front end aligned before getting the tires my truck ate up the front tires in 3 months and now I have to spend 300$ on steering parts.
I should have had it all checked when I first bought the truck. my dumb mistake.

Here in New Mexico we don't have any mud. All the places I go are sand and rock so the A/T will do fine for me. That and this is a daily driver and I like the A/T's on the street better than the M/T's.
