broken rear leaf - replacement
#1
I know someone with a broken pass. side main leaf.
specs: 1990 Toyota, 22RE, std. trans, 4X4, std. cab, shortbed.
Dealership wants $500 a piece for rear springs
I found a set on Downey's site: 2" lift for $200.00 a pair.
You have to reuse your load leafs, but that is no problem.
Why the big difference in price?
Anyone know of any other sources?
thanks...

Try some old man emu springs (OME). They are 2” lift, direct bolt on. The ride is far superior to stock and you can get them in heavy or medium duty depending on how much your buddy plans on hulling/towing. I would suggest you also get a pair of their shocks and greaseable spring shackle and bushings.

JC Whitney has stock height rear springs for about $150/set. Otherwise, try a junkyard for a used set: http://www.car-part.com/
