Hey Go big or Go home. Right... Unfortunately an expensive attitude. I'm financial doomed. Good thing I don't a credit card yet. Have fun with the weekend tinkering.

I think the going rate to remove and install a front 3rd member on a STOCK 1 gen truck is around 8-9 hours of labor, that would be expensive

yep...thats my carnage...pretty bad..that happened like back in LATE december...and im still trying to get it fixed...i was just goin down the highway...then all the sudden...BANG!!! front driveshaft sheared in half...twisted around and did all that...the reason is because of some bad u-joints...and because people on here told me that it was ok to drive around with my hubs locked in..now that i look back on it...i should've known better than to do that... ..but o well..now we're tryin o get my 4spd fixed..cuz the only 5spd we've found in good shape...is the R-151F out of an '86 turbo'd 4x4 pickup...and the junkyard wants $850 for that and the tranny...and they dont even know if its any good or not...does this sound right to anyone..sounds incredibly high to me...

Nothing broke, but my cat got stolen

Guy took the cat and all the pipes, and left me with nothing but the seal and the bolts on the floor.

I feel violated...

Sucks you broke.

I don't have any broken stories other than steering. And those were all really lame.

Its amazing to me the differences from place to place. Out here, its hard to break unless you have compromised parts to start with. Out where you are, looks like breakage is an every trip occurrence.

I'm SO glad we don't have mud out here.

ya, i try to keep my truck in good running condition, so that sorta thing dont happin! but it does. i usualy dont break often but this was after a pretty crazy trail run. i was crossing a tanktrap that had logs and rocks and all sorts of mud, and i came into it and tried to crawl threw. that didnt work, so i hit it hard and my front tires came off the ground about 3ft then when the front came down i was still in full throttle and POW sheered the pinion in two!
im running a 12" long spline from tg, i figured that or one of the ujoints would snap first but i guess tg parts are pretty tuff!
