The switch that controls hot to cold does not switch over to hot air anymore.
It did this once before, and I slammed the switch all the way to the cold side and then back to the hot side and it worked. Now even that does not work. I haven't pulled the dash apart but once when I bought the rig and pulled the double DIN stereo and put my own head unit in. The rear heater still works which makes me think it's not the heater core. Any ideas are much appreciated.

 

check on the firewall in the engine compartment, the valve assy is located pretty much centered there. check the 'bent' sheet metal clip to make sure it is grabbing the cable, adjust as necessary.

The rear heater uses a seperate heater core from the front.

you will more than likely need to replace your switch assy, mine has jammed up on me. not an issue right now as im doing maintenance on it and that switch is on the list!
