Should I grab some wet graphite film lubricant or will my can of Toyota Sillicone all purpose work. Then I just have to wait until its not 90 degrees outside, so I can stand to sit in my drive and get it done.

how long does it take you all to actually get lube into the cable? For me I can barely get any graphite down the cable and takes for ever ....is there a trick to it that i don't know about ?

Well with no tutorial and about a half an hour at dusk. I chose that time due to the break in 100 degree weather and no mosquito's due to beach breeze. I managed to locate and spray graphite in the connector of the speedo cable that supposedly didn't exist on my 95. I reconnected and went for a test drive. Nothing changed and I put out a call for help on here.
I really didn't see a way to grease the cable only the point within the connector as well as the outlet on the back of the cluster.
Frustrated I put it all back together, drank beer, played madden and when I left it worked. I guess it took time for it all to soak in or something but I now have a working speedo and working cruise control.
Thanks for all the help, I think I'm going to change all my dash led lights. I'm thinking I'll do a nice tutorial for people that have my trouble.

Just a heads up. NAPA carries the one for up to 92, as 93-94 were VSS, for $18.95. As for the 95? Well, after looking at the parts books, the number for the 95 is different then the older ones. But after looking one line down, the part has been disconntinued and replaced with a new part number, the same as the 95. So the older ones will fit in the 95.

Speedo off after transfer case swap

I am also having problems with my speedo needle. I just swapped transfer cases, and now in first gear it reads around 60MPH. By the time i hit second, it's pegged. The transfer case i put in didn't come with the speedo gear, so i used the the one from the stock one.

Any ideas?
