Question Body swap Question

Hello all !! I have a buddy who is giving me a 92 v6 sr5 pickup and i currently have a 91 22re pickup my body is rusted beyond repair and im thinking of swapping the body over, The v6 motor has blown the bottom right out of it but the body is in excellent condition how much of a hassle is this going to be anyone know??? im sure its not going to be easy as i am doing it my driveway ...lol ... I would just throw my 22re in the v6 but i have sas'd my 22re and not moving it all over so im left with the body swap !!! any suggestions or ideas to make this easier ....

Thanks !!!

easy as pie especially if its same body style. 8 or ten bolts for the cab and a few other things to unhook. i swapped an 84 4runner body on an 88 pickup frame in a weekend in high school so you should be good doing a swap with the same cab

The cab swap should be fairly easy, assuming the same size cab on both. But you'll probably need to do some wire harness and ECU swapping as well, since the ECU is mounted inside the cab as is much of the wiring harness and you'll need to swap that around. Not sure if the inside-cab harness is engine independent or not, but the ECUs are not. Plus things like the tach. will need to be re-calibrated with the engine change:

ok this may sound like a random question, i have a 91 ex cab with a dying 3.0l and found a guy giving away a rolled over 91 4runner with 22re, i know that an ex cab will swap to a std cab with some work, moving body mount and installing a bl, as well as relocating gas tank, but how hard to would it be to swap my cab onto a 4runner? they have the same wheelbase as a std cab but don't know enough about the frame to know if those would swap over to a 4runner. anyone tried this?

I am swaping a 84 extended cab on a 86 standard cab. So far I have the 86 cab off. Only took a couple evenings to gt it off. Unhooked the computer and left all the engine harness hooked up. Slid some 4x6's under the cab and lifted it off with two engine hoists.
