meh, why not; it'll look gosh darn good on that valve cover
you may also notice I gave up on the intake tube; mine will be salvagable for now; I've got some stuff to list on eBay, so I'll use those funds to pay for it
I'll be calling the dealership up tomorrow about some parts I'm making a list for now. If they've got em in stock, or can have them Sunday, I'll pick all that up this weekend

Did he just write that in the same post? Oh yeah sure, Take her out on a date, thats the BEST way to save money for the parts you have left!! And you could have painted that oil cap red, saved yourself 26 beans. Although a date with a cute girl definitely makes you forget you are broke, you spend money on 'em like your made of it.
Lookin' good bleeder. I know your rig sounded good with the header, exhaust and 275,000 PLUS miles, I am interested to hear it with a new cam and a fresh rebuild.

aw comon guys, the stickers are like a dollar a peice, lol
OH, I fixed the rattling on the temp truck this morning by unbolting the cat and bashing up the honeycomb, ripping out the big chunks, and then firing it up and blowing the little peices out, lol
and I alsao fixed the AC in it too
that's sad... I need to do this work to my truck, and here I am fixing the temp truck, lol.
lmao
yeah I know... but when you get that bug, well, you know what it's like...
yeah I'm hoping the exhaust will have a killer note once it's all said and done

i read this thred from page 1-21 holy crap...
all i wanted to know is what to do with the 22r head laying around. i'm going to wait till you fire this thing up and get some miles on it. i want to know how you like your cam. i think i'm going with the same cam, a 261 right? with a little port and polish to boot.
btw great work, your rig should haul butt, might make it a sticky before long.

your lucky bleeder...you have all this money to spend on misc. stuff..lol...i paid $800 to get mine completely rebuilt and ready to go..thats everything from new crank and bearings, full rebuild kit from engnbldr(highly recommend that place...they are GREAT fast and RIGHT..no wrong parts or anything) got the 261C, didnt do anything to the head other than the cam, the head is only about 2500miles old..bout 2 months..so no need to screw up a perfectly good head, got a new clutch too..now im having to get my coolant temp sensor fixed and she'll be ready for some drivin!..
P.S.
the cam sounds GREAT!!!!!!!!!...i have the idle set a tad high (bout 1100 rpms) for the first 500 miles or so..after that i'll turn it back down to about 700roms..it should sound nice and lumpy then lmao...i can DEFINATELY tell that its a rebuilt motor..it runs amazing..other than the temp. gauge scaring the out of me when it all the sudden shoots up to ABOVE HOT!..lol..even though its not runnin hot..
my clutch feels the same as it did before..(it was wore down to the rivets) idk whats up with that..it doesnt feel like a new clutch..anybody got any pointers on that????
good luck bleeder!!!!!!!!!!!
