Best air intake system?

Best air intake system?

anyone have any good suggestions for a good air intake system for a 93 pickup 3.0 v6 it has a mass air flow sensor so kinda limited any info would be great

best is vague...

i would suggest a snorkel if you do anything (as i needed one last weekend)

Stick with OEM. Anything else will cause you issues.

search for isr mod. There are a couple of write ups in the tech section about mods for your stock intake for about the same results as a k&n full intake kit

i dont think i really need a snorkel i live in florida nothing really deep here just trails and some open fields with some ruts through it.. but my truck if feeling slugish and i have an exhaust done and was just going to put an intake on it to see if it opens it up its always been slugish but when i put the 33s on it its really bad now so i just wanted to help it out as much as possible

lol yea i know most of it is the 33s but before i did any mods to it just stock it was sluggish haha a lot of people have been telling me to regear what should i do them at? where could i get a good set and what would i do about the front section im new to the whole off road thing i mean muddin here and there but now im really gettin into it i work at a toyota dealership in the collision department id like to regear and get longer travel suspension what do you guys think? and thanks alot for all your info been great help so far!!!

your best bet is a ISR mod with the stock air box.

X3 on the stock set up. If you go with say a K&N intake, you will have oil layden sensors

what gearing should i go if i replace those? and if i did what would i do about the front change some type of gears there too??

if its a Manual transmission go with 4.88 gears.

if its an Auto transmission go with 5.29 gears.

I was looking and they have these now on eBay for pretty cheap. It just replaces one of the accordion hoses. For only $40 I would just use the piping and keep the stock air box.

I'd like to do something like that...someday when I have time. My thing is that I'd also wanna snorkel. Maybe just turn it facing up and cut a hole in the hood and toss a coffee can on it when I'm not driving it...

I actually found a knock off version of that too!

ok so 4.88 gears what about the front end change anything there? and while i have it all out should i do a locker while im there?
