Hey, sorry for the late response. I usually browse this site when it gets cooler out. I'll snap some pics when I get a chance. Right now, I've got the bed off for rear frame painting, gas tank, and fuel feed line swap. Gotta finish that up ASAP, it's going to get cold soon!

Shoot me a PM in a week or two if I haven't updated this thread with pics yet.

that setup looks very schwing!!! Most of what was said after that, I don't get; about moving it here and there for cold air, or mudding, etc., but on the first setup, if it improves mileage at all, I am all about that!
So if it comes with all parts necessary, and instructions for installation, I'll turn a wrench for it! What is an egr line, anyway?

I went over to your site, to check out the dyno's, could you give us a synopsis of your findings, and some analysis or first run conclusions?
I am not studied enough to know what those graphs are telling me...

I run one of these on my honda. Although I don't have a laser thermometer, it still feels like the heat under the hood warms the intake manifold up to the same temperatures. The nice thing about it is that you'll never have to buy another intake manifold gasket ever again. I'll keep this in mind if next time I pull my intake manifold.

In theory wouldn't dry ice(yea you have to replace it all the time and it would cost a ass load but it would cool the incoming air a lot better it would seem) work in line somewhere work better for cooling the air then running the aluminum the same way the plastic intake tube is run because if I am not mistake aluminum will hold the heat longer then plastic anyway

^^^^^^^ That is a perfect example! I think your double stack filter is to a 22r what my 2.75" intake tube is to a 22re. The drivability differences that you noticed with the extra air filter sound very similar to what I noticed when I switched to the 2.75" intake tube. I am fortunate enough to have access to a dynometer, and I wanted to share my results with the Toyota community. But like you pointed out, it is difficult to see the benefit of a better breathing intake just by looking at a dyno graph.

also your hp power and torque R on the floor man
how many miles on your 22re

i was doing 135 torque and about 109 on hp
but i also noticed you opened up your exhaust bad idea to trade power for growl from your tailpipe

my Tb was aimed down word at an angle about 45 deg so this is what i did to get to it

The reason Y i did this was beacuse my 90 deg coupler ripped on me when i was offroading so this had no play in the couplings so hopefuly meaning no tears

let me know what you did with the egr hose

My god the airflow inside that tube would be so disrupted you are probably better putting the stock intake back on....Grind those welds back too if you cant lay a good bead.

OP, your intake looks great! I think you may be on to something. And that last intake posted by "peach", dude that thing is disgusting.... Awful looking and I can't imagine the airflow being very good at all....

Guys it's an 88 so the TB is at an angle so I realy coud not figure a way to get to it so I did 45 deg cuts any Ideasi to improve this distortaion

plus I made it beacuse my coupler riped and well I was not going to spnd a bill or more for a new one

the welds yes Bad but first time welding

TRD11, if you could make one for my Supra MAF, I would be interested in purchasing one. I have also done the battery/intake swap so let me know any measurements you may need, and a price.

Even easier...relocate your battery and run your intake to the other side. Then you can keep the down angle as you have nothing to clear.

Unless the pipes are holding pressure (forced induction) there is no harm in grinding back welds. Even the worst welder in the world can make a seamless join with enough patience and grinding.
