baja racing headers

Has anyone bought these headers? If so how do they bolt up? Any problems? Do you like them? I saw these and was thinking about buying them.

You know i thought the same thing downey headers. I called the guy and asked how much and he said $379.60 shipped for chrome. I didnt ask him if they were downey or if they made them.

Avoid the chrome ones at all costs, that is the worst thing you can do to a header in my book. I have seen so many chrome headers with broken welds and I have been told it's because the chrome makes the welds brittle ?

i should ask how much for the ceramic ones. The chrome ones seemed like a good price.

the welds on the flanges break because they are welded on the outside.

if you weld them on the inside, it'll be fine.

exhaust wrap will trap moisture in there and rust them id just coat them in a ceramic. or just leave it.

Ok, I bought from them...actually went to their shop and picked up my headers. Yes they are Downey and Downey fully supports and warranties the products that they sell there. I called Downey to confirm that they were an authorized dealer and they said that they sure were. One of the workers there actually is a lurker here on the forums. I would highly recommend them as they have the best price I saw for the Downey headers.

Now if you don't have to worry about state emissions and smog levels, then there are better header manufacturers out there from what I've heard for the 3vze engine. I bought the ceramic headers and have no complaints!
