ALSO dont take the upper manifold off just leav it on and pull the harness out will still connected to the motor just pull the harness from the ecu and disconnect the afm and pulle the wires from there

Take a bunch of pictures
​​​​​​Remove harness at computer
Pull through firewall and lay on engine
remove grounds
hand engine on hoist or whatever
remove transmission bolts.
Remove electrical stuff (4wd switch)
Remove mounting bolts
remove fuel line (and remembver where the return lines go :p)
remove engine.


I could do it in an afternoon with beer and staring at stuff, or in 2-3 hours depending.
If you have 31" or higher, you can drop the transmission by entering the cab with the engine hoist and wrapping some tie downs under the tranny. Lower the tranny that way and simply slide it out from under the truck.

Since it seemed I lost all my friends suddenly when I asked for help, you most certainly can do it (out and back in) all alone.
