That would be 'swampthinging' when done in a Toyota truck.

I think that TT put it best...
BTW, what brand is that truck bed? I've never seen one for A 'Yota before!
Hell no. I have about $7000 in my 86 4Runner. If I had $7000 to go buy a truck I wouldn't have picked mine, but over time it DOES make sense. If you buy a truck for $2500 and drive it for a year, that's less than a car payment and you own it. Then if the motor goes, $3500 for a new motor makes sense, since you'll have a truck with a new motor. When the brake calipers freeze up and the clutch goes out, it's still way cheaper to fix it than buy a $7000 truck. In the end you'll probably have a truck that's more sound and reliable than the $7000 truck.

Sounds good to me, as long as you pay cash for upgrades/repairs. The way everyone accepts/expects to have a car payment their whole life is evidence that an entire country can be brainwashed. Having $7000 "invested" into an old truck is a heck of a lot better than paying FoMoCo $600 a month for 6 yrs and then only having a truck worth $3000 when you're finished. I'll keep rocking my 96 until it dies, unless I pick up a dbl cab sometime. Then I'll drive it until it dies and then rebuild it. Also, give me your truck bed

well, looks like you have a rarity among the yota enthusists... which means, do all you can to keep her alive... unless you go and drop 60k for a new challenger SRT-8, you wont have the same distinction... go ahead and drop 60K into your Yota and see what kind of a monster you get out of it...
maybe get that box gold plated
acutally, im not sure you CAN drop 60K into a toyota... i think 20K is the max on money you can spend...
which your still better off...
